Whitewater Rescue Technician
Level 2
This two-day course builds on the skills learned in the WRT1. The WRT2 course concentrates on further developing advanced water rescue skills, including managing the rescue scene, litter management and the utilization of teams. It emphasizes victim rescue and recovery and sharpens rescue skills taught in SRT/WRT 1 within more difficult and hazardous environments. Horizontal rope systems are adapted to vertical situations and the course is highlighted by the application of newly acquired search and rescue techniques during a limited visibility night search. Prerequisites: WRT1
