Adventure Race Training Pico 2 Playa Expedition Week.

From the high alpine refugio of Pico de Orizaba at 4200m to the Gulf of Mexico, the “Pico 2 Playa” (Peak to
Beach) Expedition Training Week is an 8-day Expedition Adventure Race training program which spands across the state of
Veracruz, Mexico. Providing the environment for mutual learning and improvement, and the physical activity to
shake off the winter cobwebs, this program will improve your skills, your perspective, your attitude, and your
physical conditioning, to prepare you to undertake any expedition race.
Focusing on the key strategies and advanced skills necessary for successful expedition racing, this program combines advanced day and night navigation, whitewater paddling, whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, ropes, alpine, first aid for expedition racing, nutrition, and much more combined with the spectacular scenery, culture and ancient history of Mexico.

All meals, freshly prepared to international standards of safe
food handling. Special dietary requests are welcome and easily
accommodated.
Private ground transportation
Internationally certified professional guides and instructors are
always available and on call.
All paddling equipment (helmets, pfds, paddles, kayaks, rafts)
Some climbing gear (harnesses, helmets, ‘biners)
Be Sure to Bring:
• Your bike and all biking gear (helmet, shoes, etc)
• Compass
• Map Bag (waterproof)
Airfare to Veracruz (Mexico), alcoholic beverages, telephone service, internet, meals on arrival and departure days, travel insurance, optional instructor/guide gratuities and additional personal services (laundry, massage, etc.).
